SCSD Calendar Reminders:
Dear Parents, there is an Early Out scheduled for this Friday, September 1, at 1:30 PM. There is No School on Monday, September 4 for Labor Day. There is No School on Tuesday, September 5 to support the ongoing professional development of staff. Thank you!
SCSD Heat Related Information: The district will continue with the NOON dismissal tomorrow, Thursday, August 24. Due to the excessive heat in our schools; especially in the afternoons, the district will now dismiss at NOON on Friday, August, 25, 2023. Lunches will continue to be served prior to dismissal.

To protect against heat-related issues, the SCSD will dismiss at Noon on Wednesday, August 23 , and Thursday, August 24. Dismissal is set for 1:30 PM on Friday, August 25. Lunchtimes / lunches will be provided prior to dismissal times. NOTE: Extra-curricular practice times will be adjusted as well..

Rumor Control: A potential threat was quickly reported to administration and staff stemming from an off-campus social media exchange between two students. The Sheriff's Department has investigated and visited the Jr. Sr. High School and the individual. There is no credible threat or danger to anyone in our buildings. The Sheriff's Department is handling the follow up. We will have a regular dismissal today, Monday, April 3, 2023. Mr. Hatfield
The Sigourney Community School District will have a 1:00 PM dismissal today, Friday, March 31, 2023. Forecasts indicate the potential for damaging winds and tornadic activity.
